1.3. Indexing Guidelines
“VANGUARD SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS IN MANAGEMENT” (ISSN 1314-0582) is indexed in Google Scholar. Indexing engines use automated software, known as "parsers", to identify bibliographic data of your papers, as well as references between the papers. Incorrect identification of bibliographic data or references will lead to poor indexing of your paper. Some papers may not be included at all, some may be included with incorrect author names or titles, and some may rank lower in the search results, because their (incorrect) bibliographic data would not match (correct) references to them from other papers. To avoid such problems, you need to provide bibliographic data and references in a way that automated "parser" software can process. This is why it is critically important to follow the technical requirements given here.

Peer Review Process

6.1. Technical review
In this phase, the paper is evaluated by the journal technical editor. The evaluation is primarily aimed at meeting the following criteria:
- Does the theme and the character of the paper correspond to the criteria for topical directions defined by the journal?
- Does the formal treatment of the paper meet the requirements of the prescribed formatting and the sequence of its individual parts (including language use and the style of the paper, citations and references, etc.)?
In case of failure to follow or understand the instructions for authors, journal editors will reject the paper due to formal reasons and it will not be evaluated further until this is corrected.

6.2. Blind review
(This phase is skipped if the paper was presented at the conference “VANGUARD SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS IN MANAGEMENT” and the authors have reflected all questions, comments and ideas from the conference discussion.)
In case your paper is going to be subject to blind review you should mandatory erase the names of the authors everywhere from the paper and only leave the word “Author” instead. You should also erase the name of the author from the Document Properties in the menu File of Adobe Acrobat.

Based on editor’s positive review, the paper proceeds to the peer review process. The publication of a paper must be recommended by at least two independent reviewers (external peer review).
If a reviewer has stated dissatisfaction with the paper and/or suggestions for improvements, the paper is returned to the authors for re-work. The newly submitted versions are reviewed again until the reviewers accept the text.
The Editorial Board decides about the acceptance of a paper. Editors have the right to reject papers that are not in accordance with the journal’s editorial purpose and do not meet the above criteria.

6.3. Final version
After notification for acceptance by the editorial board the paper shall be submitted in its final version and according the technical requirements with included names of the authors. This is also going to be the exact version of the paper published by the journal.
