GLOBAL TRENDS AND CHALLENGES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF TELEWORK
GLOBAL TRENDS AND CHALLENGES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF TELEWORK
Abstract
In this paper we study the telework, its nature, forms and legal
framework. We provide a review of the global trends in teleworking, including benefits and
challenges. The paper focuses on the legal framework in Bulgaria and describes the legal
principles and characteristics of teleworking. Comparison between contract of
employment, contract of employment for teleworking and contract of manufacture has
been made. In order to assist the employer to provide and perform telework for its future or
current employees, we propose steps that they should take before signing a labor contract
for telework.
