Abstract
This paper presents and compares data obtained by employing a
quantitative model for evaluating the scientific, technical and technological development of
companies from the non-ferrous metals sector. The model can be applied to study the
technological competitiveness of companies. The subject of the study are companies from
the “Non-ferrous metals” sector in Bulgaria. The analysis carried out reveals companies'
flexibility related to the active and successful innovation activity in a period of financial and
economic crisis. This preconditions and facilitates the enhancement of their
competitiveness.
